Since 2014, Huaqiang Technology has been working in strategic partnership with Aiborui Group to build a lean digital workshop that aims to revolutionize the pharmaceutical packaging industry. The project integrates advanced lean management principles, professional information systems, automation technologies, and intelligent equipment throughout the entire production process. This initiative is designed to elevate the overall level of enterprise intelligence and continuously optimize operations to establish a world-class intelligent demonstration plant.
For years, the pharmaceutical packaging sector has faced numerous challenges, including inefficient layout of production lines, overlapping logistics and personnel flow, low productivity, outdated processes, limited automation, manual labor reliance, and poor quality control. These issues have significantly hindered the industry's growth and competitiveness.
Through this project, Huaqiang Technology addresses key pain points such as information processing, smart distribution, identification, storage, and automated control in the production of butyl rubber plugs. By adopting modern information systems and applying the "lean" concept, the company achieves seamless integration of information systems, realizes a high level of synergy between informatization and industrialization, and creates an intelligent factory that meets production, research, and management needs efficiently and at a low cost.
The automated warehouse is fully integrated with the enterprise information system, allowing for full tracking of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods through barcode management. This ensures complete visibility from raw material processing to customer delivery.
At the manufacturing execution level, the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) team communicates company goals to production staff, provides real-time feedback on product status, and coordinates with the logistics team. The logistics team interfaces with MES/ERP systems, receives production orders, and sends task sheets to the dispatch monitoring layer. It collects, tracks, and stores logistics data, enabling process, production, quality, and equipment management, along with batch and auxiliary management functions.
With logistics automation and powder distribution systems, the risk of human error and safety incidents during transportation is minimized, while ensuring accurate tracking of semi-finished products. Automated production equipment enables unmanned or minimally manned operations, reducing variability caused by human factors and improving product quality, efficiency, and batch management.
An automatic online detection and identification system ensures real-time quality control, offering high-speed, high-precision, and 100% real-time product inspection, effectively eliminating human errors and enhancing the overall product quality rate.
This project relies on advanced butyl rubber plug production control systems, automated equipment, AGV handling robots, palletizing robots, on-line detection systems, and automated storage solutions. Upon completion, it will greatly enhance the enterprise’s level of intelligent manufacturing and digital management, achieving an annual production capacity of 6 billion butyl rubber plugs. It will integrate the entire production process into an intelligent system, building a top-tier, highly digitized, and intelligent workshop that sets new standards for the pharmaceutical packaging industry and drives its transformation and development.
