Amazon Echo Show Adds New Feature: Can Access Camera

(Original title: Amazon's new Echo will let you see who is at your front door)

[TechWeb Report] On June 23, according to foreign media reports, Amazon announced on Thursday local time that the owner of the Amazon Echo Show, which began shipping this month, can use the device to access the camera around the house.

Echo owners who want to use this feature also need a smart camera. In order to activate the camera, Echo's owner only needs to say "Alexa, show me the front door camera" or "Alexa, let me look at the compact camera." When you say "Alexa," it shows their respective feeds.

Several Amazon partners have announced support for the feature, including Ring, Logitech, Arlo, Nest, 燗ugust, EZViz, Vivint, Amcrest, and IC Realtime.

Nest and Ring are probably the most common names. The former, owned by Google, owns a series of smart home cameras; the latter is a smart doorbell with a camera that allows you to see who is at the door.

Of course, Google Home can also use smart home devices. Most of them are Nest thermostats at this point, but due to the lack of video screens on the devices, cameras cannot be provided. (Little Fox)
