1 Overview

Corrugated metal hose (abbreviated as corrugated pipe) is an important flexible pipe in modern industrial pipelines. In various gas and liquid pipeline systems and length, temperature, position and angle compensation systems, as compensation components, sealing components, connecting components and shock absorption components, widely used in aerospace, petrochemical, mining electronics, machinery and shipbuilding , medical and health, textile electronics, energy construction and other fields.

Corrugated metal hose is mainly composed of corrugated pipe, mesh sleeve and joint, as shown in Figure 1. The inner pipe is a thin-walled stainless steel corrugated pipe with a spiral or annular wave shape, and the mesh sleeve on the outer layer of the corrugated pipe is woven by stainless steel wire or steel strip according to certain parameters. The joints at both ends of the hose are either flanges or wire heads, in various forms, depending on the application conditions.

The latest national specification for metal hoses is GB/T14525-2010 "General Technical Conditions for Corrugated Metal Hose", which was implemented on October 1, 2011.

2. A complete set of automatic welding technology for corrugated hoses

The welding process of corrugated metal hose generally includes two processes: (1) welding of mesh sleeve, corrugated pipe and compression sleeve—metal hose body body—; (2) welding of metal hose body and pipe joint.

2.1 Welding equipment

2.2.1 Main points of the welding process of the metal hose body (1) Due to the special three-layer structure of the metal hose body and the poor repeatability of the assembly before welding, it is required that the welding process must have a sufficient tolerance window.
(2) Since the thin-walled parts are very sensitive to the welding line energy, the welding process requires accurate control of the welding current and welding voltage, and must be matched with the amount of wire filling.
2.2.2 Main points of the welding process of metal hose joints In general, the thickness of the hose joint and the compression sleeve is quite different, and the types of pipe joints are various. Therefore, the welding angle should be fully considered in the welding process. Influence.
3. Conclusion
3.1 The bellows metal hose has a wide range of applications and a large amount of use. Its working temperature range can reach -196 ° C ~ +420 ° C, and the pressure range is generally PN0.6-32.0Mpa, up to 42.0MPa, and the welding seam quality requirements are high.
3.2 Due to the special multi-layer structure of the metal hose, in order to ensure the welding quality, higher requirements are put forward for the counterpart quality, welding process and welding equipment before welding.
3.3 The BW70T mesh sleeve automatic welding machine and the TPF400T joint automatic welding machine and its supporting welding process are developed for the corrugated metal hose welding industry, with a high degree of automation, stable process parameter control, strong process adaptability, and good practical application results.
