In an annual report, Conviva (a company that provides streaming video optimization services for global media companies) provides statistics on our changing viewing habits. It predicts:
· The use of Internet TV will grow, while the use of digital set-top boxes will decline. The audience will use the set-top box in exchange for the convenience of an Internet TV.

· More and more people will watch TV on the Internet. The audience will appreciate the on-demand nature of viewing on the Internet and will stream its favorite shows. However, the way they watch live shows or movies will not change much.
· In 2016, paid streaming media companies will leave their internal distribution network and sign a contract with the CDN. Conviva expects the largest operator to establish its own CDN.
Many streaming media companies will sign up for multiple CDNs, one for each, to provide a perfect viewing experience.
• Although there is currently not much video streaming in the 5Mb/s and higher speed range, there will be changes by the end of 2016.

Conviva's report also includes watching trends from 2015. The 2015 sibling streaming video watch increased from 19% in 2014 to 23%. Watch short content drop from 62% to 56%. Watching movies (6%) and live events (15%) remained stable.
