Introduce a simple and practical force boosting mechanism

There are many kinds of common force increasing mechanisms, such as: Lever boosting mechanism, ramp force increasing mechanism, liquid pressure increasing force mechanism, screw nut force increasing mechanism, etc. The force increasing mechanism described here is different from the above. As shown below:

In the above figure, the two rods are articulated. If we apply a force F at the junction, the following formula is calculated from the resultant triangle of forces:

F1=F/2COSα

It can be seen from the above equation that when the angle α approaches 90 degrees, the force F1 on the two rods approaches infinity, that is, when the angle α approaches 90 degrees, it is very small at the junction. Force, can get a very large force on the rod, according to this principle, I designed the structure shown in Figure 2 for drilling and tapping tooling 130SJT and 110SJT motor shaft, more than 3,000 kg working pressure with a 60mm bore The cylinder can meet the requirements, which not only simplifies the structure of the tooling, but also greatly reduces the size of the tooling. The two sets of tooling are used after more than half a year in the motor workshop. The operation is convenient and the performance is stable and reliable. And when the cylinder top to the limit block (Figure 3), the fixture is in a self-locking state, even if the cylinder thrust suddenly lost, the fixture can work properly.
