Shunde leading enterprises enter the second stage of the development of the robot industry

Recently, there have been two things that have brought the Shunde robotics industry to the attention of everyone. At the beginning of August, Shunde's home appliance leader Midea Group announced that it will enter the robot industry and cooperate with Yaskawa Electric, one of the four major families of international robots, to establish a robotic joint venture to produce industrial robots and service robots. Subsequently, the advanced equipment manufacturing industry in the west bank of the Pearl River will be traded. The media interview group of the fair also came to Shunde to interview the first “Guangdong Province Robot Industry Development Demonstration Zone”. By September of this year, Shunde robot industry will focus on all circles, because the second World Robotics and Intelligent Equipment Industry Conference and Expo will be opened in Foshan New Town. Then, in many places, in the context of vigorously developing the robot industry, what is the sufficiency of Shunde?

Dynamic: Shun enterprise leader enters the robot industry

In August, the focus of Shunde's robot industry was undoubtedly the leader of the US group, which announced its entry into the robotics industry and opened up the "second runway" of the US industrial strategy.

According to the announcement issued by Midea Group, its joint venture with Yaskawa of Japan is mainly focused on creating two major fields of industrial robots and service robots. Among them, in the aspect of industrial robots, it is planned to build economical 3C robots suitable for Chinese enterprises; while in the field of service robots, we will focus on the commercial fields such as assisted and disabled robots and rehabilitation nursing robots, and promote the cross-border integration of home service robots and smart homes.

The US’s entry into the robotics industry clearly saw a huge market for the industry. Midea Group mentioned that according to the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) data, in 2013, China's industrial robot sales reached 37,000 units, becoming the world's largest market. In 2014, domestic industrial robot sales were 56,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 51%. According to the density of 10,000 industrial robots, the total demand for industrial robots in China will reach nearly 3 million units in the future. With the development of artificial intelligence, mobile internet and other technologies, it has become an inevitable trend for service robots to enter the home.

In fact, Midea has made preparations for entering the robot industry earlier. Shunde's "South China Intelligent Robot Innovation Research Institute", the United States is the initiator, it also established a wholly-owned subsidiary of the development of the robot industry with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan.

For the United States, the layout robot strategy also has the needs of its enterprise development. When the reporter went to the production workshop of Midea Group, he saw many handling robots and robotic arms working hard. One of the workshop supervisors lamented that it is difficult to recruit workers now, especially when the work has become the main force of the 90s. Many work that requires heavy physical strength, the workshop can only introduce robots instead. After the introduction of the robot, the output rate of the workshop has steadily increased year after year.

Status: The rise of the robot industry

It is understood that with the rapid growth of China's industrial robot market, many local governments are accelerating the implementation of the "machine substitution" program. According to incomplete statistics, there are nearly 40 industrial robot industrial parks built and under construction in China. Due to the lack of core technology and profitability to be improved, this year's several listed companies' robot acquisition plan has appeared "abortion." Some insiders even admit that many robot companies are still living away from government subsidies and it is difficult to survive.

In the "Guangdong Intelligent Manufacturing Development Plan (2015-2025)", which was released on July 23 this year, it also mentioned the positioning of many places in the robotics and intelligent equipment industry. Among them, Guangzhou City focuses on building the core area of the province's robotics and intelligent equipment industry; Shenzhen City is committed to becoming a leading, world-renowned base for manufacturing, innovation, service and international cooperation in robotics, wearable devices and smart equipment industries; Smart grid equipment and systems, unmanned vessels and control systems, intelligent large-scale port engineering equipment, etc.; Foshan City to build Sino-German Industrial Service Park and intelligent manufacturing demonstration base; Dongguan City to focus on the development of motion control components, dedicated to the 3C industry Robots, service robots...

Among them, Shunde was mentioned as the only district-level administrative region, “building a national intelligent manufacturing demonstration base and a demonstration area for the development of the robot industry in Guangdong Province, focusing on the development of industrial robots, CNC machining equipment, intelligent injection molding, ceramic woodworking machinery, etc.”.

Difficulties: core technology is still dominated by international giants

At the same time as the domestic robot industry is everywhere, the problem that cannot be avoided is that the core technology of robots is still dominated by a few international giants.

In the last issue of "Guangzhou Daily Shunde Gold Edition", it was mentioned that among the well-known robot companies in Shunde visited by reporters, the heads of enterprises almost all talked about the situation that "the core technology is not under my control".

Chen Hongbo, vice president of Guangdong Jiateng Robotics Automation Co., Ltd. admitted that as the core component of the AVG (Unmanned Vehicle) robot they produced, the sensor is said to be "permanent pain." Although there are sensors in China, the performance is still difficult to compare with imported products, and the price is of course far worse. Xie Qifeng, assistant general manager of Foshan Lixunda Robot System Co., Ltd., is not arguing that the entire station is sold in the company. In the robot system of the (set), the mechanical arm similar to the status of the automobile engine is still dependent on imports, mainly from the "four big families" of the robot.

In fact, from the government to the enterprise, nowadays, the development and application of robots have also invested in many policies and resources. As the only “Guangdong Province Robot Industry Development Demonstration Zone”, Shunde is the only one in the province. Its own robot industry and intelligent manufacturing.

However, the objective situation is that, as Chen Hongbo said, Japan and Germany began the development and application of robots in the 1950s and 1960s. In China, the rise of the robot industry is also a matter of recent years.

Shunde can develop robots in the entire industry chain

Under the background that the international robot giant still masters the core technology and the fierce competition in the domestic robot industry, what is the enthusiasm of Shunde to develop robots? Zhang Peng, executive deputy director of the Shunde District Economic Development Bureau, believes that Shunde’s advantage lies in the development and manufacture of robots. The entire industry chain of applications and transactions.

Zhang Peng said that the development of the robot industry Shunde has the advantage and foundation, the first advantage is that Shunde has a broad market for robot applications. “Shunde enterprises are under the pressure of transformation and upgrading. Many enterprises hope that the institutional transformation of the production process requires the introduction of robots. Shunde has more than 3,000 home appliance companies, more than 5,000 furniture companies, including textiles, wood, and chemicals. Etc. These companies used to be labor-intensive companies, and now there is an urgent need for machine substitution."

“The purchase volume of Shunde robots last year was 1,500 sets. It is estimated that this year will reach 3,000 sets. Therefore, Shunde has an industry base and needs. Why are robot manufacturers such as KUKA, Yaskawa and ABB willing to invest in Shunde? Because they saw a huge market demand in Shunde."

Zhang Peng also mentioned that the foundation of Shunde's development of the robot industry is that Shunde has a large number of equipment manufacturing industries. He said that Shunde equipment manufacturing industry has become the pillar industry after home appliances. "Home appliances is 240 billion yuan, and machinery and equipment is 160 billion yuan. Among them, there are many leading enterprises, all of which have the basis of doing robots."

Zhang Peng introduced that in the research and development of robot development technology, Shunde established the South China Intelligent Robot Research Institute to develop cutting-edge technology in the field of robotics. "We must have our own technology, our own patents, and combine Shunde's own industrial characteristics to develop. And apply our robots.” He believes that robots are very hot, but they can't be bought from any country or region. They must be industrially designed to meet the specific requirements of the company.

It is understood that the current company has been trying to break through the barriers of international technology. Like the "Bumblebee" robot developed by Jiateng, its inertial unmanned guidance technology with its own intellectual property rights has broken the barriers of foreign laser guidance technology, enabling the handling robot to achieve outdoor unmanned driving. The cooperation between Midea Group and Yaskawa of Japan has the consideration of market-for-technology. Li Xunda also said that it is currently working with international robot giants to produce robotic system integration, and will also consider the development of the system's core robot arm in the future.

Zhang Peng introduced that a large number of robot manufacturing companies have emerged in Shunde, including Li Xunda and Jia Teng. Shunde now has a lot of robot companies with over 100 million yuan. Moreover, Shunde encourages companies to adopt locally produced robots. According to Shunde's “Machine Generation” plan, all robots that use Shunde and enter the subsidy catalogue will be given a 10% subsidy to guide enterprises to purchase robots.

Shunde is also focusing on building a platform for trading, such as the second World Robotics Congress, which will be held in September, to enable supply companies and sourcing companies to have the opportunity to fully communicate. Liu Yi, member of the Standing Committee of Shunde District Committee and deputy head of the district, also mentioned that the Central European Center of Foshan New Town will also plan 20,000 square meters and introduce 30 famous Chinese and foreign brands to create the world's first “robot supermarket”.

Cold And Heat Shrinkable Tube

Cold shrink tubing is an open ended rubber sleeve, made primarily from rubber elastomers with high-performance physical properties, that has been factory expanded or pre-stretched, and assembled onto a supporting removable plastic core.Cold shrink tubing shrinks upon removal of the supporting core during the installation process and the electrician slides the tube over the cable to be jointed, terminated or abandoned and unwinds the core, causing the tube to collapse down, or contract, in place. Cold shrink tubing is used to insulate wires, connections, joints and terminals in electrical work. It can also be used to repair wires, bundle wires together, and to protect wires or small parts from minor abrasion. It needs storage in controlled environments with temperatures not exceeding 43 degrees celsius.

The heat shrink tubing is a shrinkable plastic tube used to insulate wires to provide wear resistance and environmental protection for stranded and solid wire conductors, connections, joints and terminals in electrical work. It can also be used to repair insulation on wires or bundle them together to protect wires or small parts from minor wear and create cable entry seals that provide environmental seal protection. Heat shrink tubing is typically made of nylon or polyolefin that shrinks radially (but not longitudinally) to between one-half and one-sixth of its diameter upon heating.
