Single sequence

A single sequence consists of a series of successively activated steps, with only one transition after each step, and only one step after each transition.

The beginning of the selection sequence is called a branch, and the conversion symbol can only be marked below the horizontal line. Generally, only one sequence is allowed to be selected at the same time, that is, each sequence in the selected sequence is mutually exclusive, and any two of the sequences are not simultaneously executed.

The end of the selection sequence is called merging. When several selection sequences are merged into one common sequence, the same number of conversion symbols and horizontal lines are used to represent the sequences that need to be recombined. The conversion symbols are only allowed to be marked above the horizontal line.

A parallel sequence is called a branch at the beginning. When the implementation of the conversion causes several sequences to be activated simultaneously, these sequences are called parallel sequences. The progress of the active steps in each sequence will be independent. Above the horizontal double line representing synchronization, only one conversion symbol is allowed. Parallel sequences are used to represent the operation of several independent parts of the system that work simultaneously.

The end of the parallel sequence becomes a merge, and only one transition symbol is allowed under the horizontal double line representing the synchronization.
