It encompasses a wide range of industries including Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), logistics, passenger transport, hazardous material handling, auto repair, car rental, enterprise fleet management, and more. The cloud system handles massive and multi-source data, requiring capabilities like virtualization, security authentication, real-time interaction, and large-scale storage. It supports an integrated system for data aggregation, calculation, scheduling, monitoring, and application around the vehicle. Notably, as of 2013, systems like GPS + GPRS were not considered true IoV or IoT; they were just combinations of existing technologies. Many current ITS experiments and IoV concepts in China still rely on similar approaches.
