The 2017 World Endurance Championship concluded at the Bahrain International Circuit, where the LMP2 category became the highlight of the season. Ho-Pin Tung’s No. 38 car was just four points behind its rival, making the final race a high-stakes battle. The team followed a strict strategy of "no collisions, no mistakes, no retreat," and Tung quickly took the lead, maintaining a nearly 50-second advantage for several hours. However, a fuel system failure forced an unexpected pit stop in the final hour, costing precious time and ultimately resulting in a 10-second loss to the No. 31 car. Though they missed the championship, the team’s performance was nothing short of remarkable.

Throughout the season, the Yaolai Jackie DC team consistently competed at the top level, winning three championships and securing second and third places in key races. In their first full year as a combined team, they proved themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Despite not claiming the LMP2 title, their achievements earned them respect from fans and competitors alike around the world.
