The reporter learned from the interview at the summit that the domestic LED industry is approaching winter in the “spring of the industry” with high fever. Symptoms The LED industry has a high fever. Feng Jun, chairman of Shenzhen Yite Lighting Co., Ltd., uses the word “fever” to describe the current LED industry. He believes that there are serious misunderstandings in the development of China's LED industry. This misunderstanding is reflected in four aspects: First, the policy market support misunderstanding, policy support LED lighting mostly in the outdoor application force, and less useful in the indoor application. The development path of LED lighting is just the opposite, and the path of LED application technology from the indoor stability environment to the outdoor unstable environment should be followed. The second is the misunderstanding of the construction of industrial parks. Some companies have built LED industry parks only for enclosures. The third is the misunderstanding of corporate development positioning. Many companies lack the commitment to the main business. Fourth, the misunderstanding of the strategic positioning of products, and some promising consumer segments have less intentions.

It should be said that LED as an emerging industry, in line with the national energy-saving emission reduction, environmental protection, low-carbon economy policy, with a hundred billion yuan in lighting products replacement market each year, "money" is a bright future. In fact, the growth in the total sales of the LED industry in China in recent years has also proved the prospects of the industry: 82.7 billion in 2009, 120 billion in 2010, and it is expected to reach 600 billion in 2015.

Shenzhen City Lighting Industry Development Association honorary president Wang Diantang said that from 2005 to 2010 is the rapid development of China's semiconductor lighting industry. Currently, there are more than 3,500 small and medium-sized LED companies in the country. Shenzhen has grown to 1,350, of which 99% are small and medium-sized enterprises and 80% are companies that use products. At the same time, various local governments have launched LED upstream industry projects with high subsidies and high investment. According to preliminary statistics, there have been 1,400 epitaxial devices that have been ordered and have arrived, which is equivalent to the total sum of the world's existing epitaxial devices.

Wang Dianyu said that under the high fever of industry, due to the changes in the international “climate”, the economic crisis is constantly escalating, exports are blocked, and the operating cost of the domestic coastal areas has increased, the LED industry has begun to reshuffle: enterprises with good product quality, fine management, and normal capital operation, It is still growing at a relatively high rate; some companies have broken their capital chain due to extensive operations or blind expansion. Some have gone bankrupt, some have collapsed, and some have reorganized. Zhang Xiaofei, president of the China National Engineering Research Institute of China National Engineering Machinery Industry Co., Ltd., said that according to their research, about half of the 1400 epitaxial devices are in production.

The pulse of the six major bottleneck LED

Chen Jing, chairman of Shenzhen Semiconductor Lighting Industry Development Promotion Association, believes that the development of China's LED industry is currently facing six major bottlenecks.

Policy and legal bottlenecks, although governments at all levels have introduced many laws and regulations for the development of LED, but the lack of a set of standardized regulations; the bottleneck of talent and management, lack of management of enterprises according to modern enterprise system; technology and quality bottlenecks, LED core technology Not in China, many companies are busy plagiarism, product quality varies; cost and price bottlenecks, LED product prices do not come, the product is difficult to enter millions of households; market sales bottlenecks, due to product quality and other issues, the market has become difficult to enter Capital and capital bottlenecks, despite the huge prospects for the development of LED, but now very few banks dare to large-scale lending to LED companies, venture capital, security companies, etc. are also more investment in small shares.

The prescription industry needs to fight in combination with the rapid growth of the LED industry and the continuous collapse of companies. Where does the whole industry go?

Wang Dianyu suggested that enterprises should adhere to technological innovation and continue to create differentiated products; they must attach importance to standards and actively participate in the formulation of standards; they must pay attention to intellectual property rights and continue to accumulate more patents; they must insist on quality first and take a professional and highly sophisticated road; It is necessary to change the business model and establish a market channel for semiconductor lighting; to combine industrial capital and financial capital, to integrate the entire industry chain with capital as a link, and to cultivate leading enterprises based on specialized division of labor.

Chen Jing said that the fundamental way out for LED is to play combo boxing and hold groups to fight the world. Based on the current status of core technologies in foreign countries, he believes that it is not necessary to have the best technology, but we must have the best products.
