The reporter was informed at the meeting that the National Twelfth Five-Year Plan also set a clear goal for the energy-saving and environmental protection of the household appliance industry in China: At the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the energy conservation and environmental protection level of China’s major home appliances was close to the international advanced level, and the green design level of products The level of comprehensive utilization of resources has been significantly improved; major breakthroughs have been made in the application of new energy products; the average energy efficiency of home appliances has increased by an average of 10%, and a total energy efficiency index system has been established that takes into account product usage and product manufacturing.

Earlier, China made a commitment to reduce emissions by 40% to 45%. This directly poses new challenges to Chinese companies. The most important of these is the need to fully optimize the product mix and promote the transformation of the industrial model to low carbon, which is closely related to people’s lives. Appliance companies are no exception.

Based on the 12th five-year home appliance energy saving target, the China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute took the lead in putting forward the “zero-age” strategy for home appliances in the industry. Gong Bin, deputy director of the China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute, said that the zero-age strategy was a sign that China's home appliance companies are at the forefront of the process of creating an efficient industrial chain. “This means that in the new round of home appliance industry, we If we combine this first-mover advantage with the world's largest export scale, we will derive inestimable green economic benefits, and we will also play a greater role in advancing the global green economy.
