Reporter: As a neighboring country with water, how do you view the difference between Korean interior design and Chinese interior design?

Since Korean history has always been influenced by Chinese culture, it is mainly spiritual and political, and cultural aspects are relatively small. Our country is a single-nation country. The national self-respect is relatively strong. China is a multi-ethnic country that can bring together 56 ethnic groups. China is very great and great. From the cultural characteristics to the interior design field, China's interior design is diversified, luxurious and generous, while Korean interior design is relatively simple and simple, modern, often removes some redundant design elements. China's cultural strength is very strong, and the nation's inclusiveness is very strong. Relatively speaking, South Korea has its own unique values, which makes people feel a bit exclusive. They hope to learn from China, maintain their own traditions, and make interior design more confident. The entire nation is more confident. Reporter: In history, China’s influence on South Korea is relatively large, especially the Confucianism represented by Confucian culture. At the moment, Hahan and Korean are popular in China, objectively showing the influence of Korean culture on China. Could you talk about the interaction between Korean interior design culture and Chinese interior design culture? What is the embodiment?


Yes, South Korea has been deeply influenced by Chinese traditional culture in the past, and South Korea still retains the influence of traditional concepts such as “male and female”. I personally grew up in China, and I have been to Chongqing, Nanjing, Shanghai, and Taiwan. Relatively speaking, Chinese culture has a profound impact on me, especially the impact of urban architecture.

In the context of the current globalization becoming a trend, the influence of the interior design culture of the two countries is objective and interactive. South Korea's opening hours earlier, in the Asia-Pacific region earlier accepted the influence of Western design culture, and because of the characteristics of the nation, it is easier to accept the influence of Europe and the United States, the design style is biased towards modernism, simple, simple, never done More modification. Reporter: In terms of independent design, what is the current situation of the Korean interior design industry compared with China?

In the field of interior design, Korea is not as good as China in terms of vision and cultural background. However, I personally think that the Chinese interior design community needs to identify what is good design or bad design, especially the commercialization of design, should be vigilant. Due to the vast territory of China, it is easy to see a good work coming out. The phenomenon of plagiarism in other places seems to be chaotic. South Korea also had this situation before, but it did not seem confusing. I think the reason why this situation is not easy to appear in Korea has a certain relationship with the narrow geographical area of ​​Korea.

Since South Korea’s opening is relatively early, it has been deeply influenced by the West and developed rapidly. Especially since the Seoul Olympic Games in 1988, due to the government’s protection of the cultural industry, Korea’s interior design level can be said to have advanced by leaps and bounds. Of course, influenced by government policy support, South Korea’s cultural industry has achieved certain results, such as TV dramas.

For China, it is taking the road that South Korea has gone through. It is believed that after a period of chaos, the quality of interior design will gradually improve, and the level of development will be basically the same as that of South Korea, and may even surpass South Korea. On the one hand, China's economy is very large, the interior decoration design industry is also relatively large, and there are more opportunities to receive large projects. Chinese interior designers have more opportunities to practice. Relatively speaking, Korean interior designers have fewer opportunities to receive big projects.


Reporter: At present, the status of Chinese interior designers is generally not high. Everyone has such a consensus: "In the operation of the case, the designer is the soul, but it is not a leader." Is this the same for Korean interior designers? How do you think about this problem?

At present, Seoul has a population of more than 10 million, a design company of about 1400 to 1,500, and more than 10,000 employees, while Seoul’s interior design industry accounts for a quarter of South Korea’s, so the whole In South Korea, there are more than 40,000 employees in the interior design industry.

It should be said that in the operation of the case, compared with the Chinese counterparts, our case control is relatively better, although there are changes, but basically can maintain the original appearance. In this regard, Japan has done the best. The whole society and the owners respect the professional opinions of the designers. Generally speaking, the case will not change much from design to implementation.

In terms of the control of the case, on the one hand, the designer must take the initiative. Sometimes, designers will not hesitate to lower the design cost to get the project, making the competition order of the whole industry very chaotic, which is similar to the current situation in Shenzhen and even China. However, this situation will gradually fade over time. On the other hand, the society should pay attention to training, and the talent of the interior designer is important, but the cultivation of the day after tomorrow is also very important. Of course, there are many other reasons that affect the control of the case, which is not satisfactory or even failed.

It should be said that whether it is a Korean interior designer or a Chinese interior designer, it is necessary to find a good owner and communicate with the owner. Practice has proved that this method is effective.

Reporter: Some design companies have put forward the concept of “design & perfection”, which means that “design” and “construction” are completed by a company, and the design concept can be realized more effectively. In this regard, how do you think about the relationship between the two?

闵 啵?啵? I do not agree with this approach. why? On the one hand, this will reduce the construction quality, even the design quality. On the other hand, because the design party originally had the duty and right to supervise the work when the project was in operation, if the construction was handed over to the designer, the construction budget would be made. Towards the development of the design side is not conducive to the protection of the rights and interests of the owners. More importantly, this damages the principle of design independence, is not conducive to design innovation, and is not conducive to the healthy development of the industry.
