China's semiconductor lighting industry has grown from scratch, and has gradually grown and developed. The National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance (CSA), under the strong support and guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology, was initiated by the backbone enterprises and research institutes engaged in the semiconductor lighting industry in China in accordance with the principle of â€œvoluntary, equal, and cooperativeâ€. At present, it has grown to 272 member units, including mid-stream and downstream companies in the industry chain, well-known enterprises and research institutions from overseas.
Through extensive regional and international cooperation, the Alliance actively expands its international exchange and cooperation in semiconductor lighting standards, inspections, and applications, and continues to expand the breadth and depth of international exchange and cooperation in semiconductor lighting through projects, standards, and demonstrations.
In accelerating the construction of semiconductor lighting industry standard system, the alliance has made unremitting efforts. "As long as it is conducive to technological innovation and industrial development, we will fully promote." Said the deputy director of the National Standards Committee. At present, the street lamp and tunnel lamp technical specifications prepared by the alliance organization have been adopted by three ministries and commissions, and the technical specifications for downlights and spotlights have been established as four national standards. Future Alliance will also work with relevant industry authorities to strengthen the research on semiconductor lighting standard strategy and semiconductor lighting standard system and jointly promote the standardization process.
With the CSA as the main initiator, the Semiconductor Lighting Industry Organization of the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, South Korea, India and Taiwan established the "International Semiconductor Lighting Alliance (ISA)" on October 16, 2010. At present, there are 8 associations and societies, 15 academic institutions and 31 companies among the 54 members of ISA, which are geographically distributed across Asia, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.

At present, Chinaâ€™s ISA International Union, which takes the lead and holds the presidency, has made initial progress, including the establishment of an â€œInternational Standards Technical Committeeâ€ and the formulation of a â€œBlueprint for the Global Semiconductor Lighting Industry Development Planâ€.
